En Route

Our last trip to The Amalfi Coast (obviously before Miss B)... I just realised there will be no more scooter rides! Damn!

One of the best things about living in Doha is actually leaving it. A trip to Europe from Australia is not only costly but it's such an effort to move across so many time zones, the flight alone is at minimum 20 hours, which is difficult to do without kids but really pushes the boundaries with kids.  Our traveling days, out of Doha, have somewhat changed now that we have a little person to consider but Europe is definitely do-able and is a very attractive option, particularly for Aussies who love the fact that it's only a 6-7hour flight and it's affordable when you are earning tax free dollars, so we tend to make the most of it.
The Summer is well and truly here, many expats have already headed off to other shores and Ramadan is closing in.  Doha is not an easy place to be when the temperatures are reaching 40-45 degrees most days and as we currently have 2 of the largest malls closed for renovations, our options are very limited.  We head off to Nice, in the south of France in 3 weeks and I simply can't wait for a little bit of....um.... France?! Normal warm weather, walking the streets, scenic drives, outside eating, garden parks...it's the little things that I am craving at the moment and I look forward to writing about it.

Watch this space...
