About

Once described in a Melbourne based magazine as 'effervescent and ever glam', I'm not so sure how often I feel like that now as a mum of one.  How things change!

Must love sand' is an attempt to stay in touch with the person I once was prior to the munchkin.  You know what they say, if you 'don't use it, you lose it'!  My professional background is in magazines, PR and brand marketing but almost 4 years ago, I embarked on the journey we know as parenthood.  I'm now one very proud 'mumma' to Miss B, who brings so much unimaginable joy to my world.  We are truly blessed to have such a beautiful little girl who loves a sleep-in like her mumma!

Mr A and I relocated to Qatar (from Melbourne) in February 2011, our second stint in this country and I'm in the very fortunate position that I can be at home with my gorgeous girl.  As many mums though will understand, in between the ordinary but necessary day to day chores, you need to have an outlet.  This outlet is different for many but I'm creative and I love to write.  I'm a little rusty, not just with writing but blogging and social media in general but I'm ready to step back into it.  Where this blog begins and ends is anyone's guess! The aim is to share thoughts, experiences and give insight on life as an Aussie expat in Doha, Qatar, who is not the biggest fan of sand; life as a parent, who wouldn't change it for the world; and life as a woman, who has a serious addiction to shoes, but unfortunately doesn't nurture it the way I used to!

I hope to do this with as much a sense of humor, as a sense of style.
